 Information on Airport Transfers from Tbilisi airport to City and vice versa

Airport – Central station

Bus (yellow) #37,  from 9:00 in the morning till 21:30 in the evening.

Airport train (on the opposite side of the airport building),

From the Central station towards:

Rustaveli Avenue (hotel Radisson, Freedom square): bus # 31 and bus #37.

Chavchavadze Avenue (Vake district): bus #9 and bus #34

 

Taxi:

From Airport to the city ( Rustaveli Ave, Chavchavadze Ave, Vera and Vake district, Radisson and nearby areas)

1.       Airport taxi. 35 GEL. Only these taxes are alowed to be at arrivals. If there is no more car remain, you should call:  (+995 32) 2787787 or 27878878 the operator could speak English and the taxi will be in 15 min at the airport. When calling they will explain how you can recognise "your" taxi.

2.       Taxi service PELIKAN. 35 GEL.  tel. (+99532) 2931561, English speakers. 1 day or several hours earlier you could send e-mail with your name and flight details and the driver will meet you with your name on the paper in his hands. maia_osepashvili@mail.ru.

3.       OMEGA Taxi. Ordinary car for 25 GEL. If you need more comfortable car, the VIP price would be 40 GEL. (+99532) 2377877. info@taxiservice.ge. English speakers. 1 day or several hours earlier you could send e-mail with your name and flight details and the driver will meet you.

From city to the airport = 25 GEL.

Visa

Please check Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs website for visa information.

If you do need a visa to enter Georgia, please read carefully:

 

You can not apply for your own visa, ISHHR has to apply on your behalf.

 

STEP 1 - Send a motivation letter to conference@ishhr.com clearly stating how your professional and academic background is relevant to health and human rights.

 

STEP 2 - Wait for an approval from ISHHR Secretariat.

 

STEP 3 - Register and pay registration fees online. ISHHR does not accept cash on arrival for those that need a visa.

 

STEP 4 - Obtain a visa application form, by sending an e-mail to ninoagd@gmail.com

 

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL ONLY FORWARD VISA APPLICATION DOCUMENTS TO THE AUTHORITIES ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE FIRST 3 STEPS.

 

What you need to provide us with is:

  • An application form that will be provided to you by our Local Organising Committee
  • your passport bio-data pages (scanned)
  • a passport picture (scanned)

 

The Local Organising Committee in Georgia will send you an Official Invitation and Police Permission via email which has to be printed out and held when entering Georgia. This will happen in September 2011.

* ISHHR Secretariat reserves all rights to accept or deny registration requests and/or motivation letters. The issuing of visas is only controlled by the government of Georgia and ISHHR takes no responsibility for persons that are denied a visa or entry to Georgia.
